Abstract

Statistical significance was found in the reception of solar-particle invasions to sea-level pressure and upperflow pattern changes at 500 mb in Alaska during a period of high solar activity. Recent IGY findings suggest that a physical relation exists between such solar particles and atmospheric changes.
