Ellobiopsidae from the Pacific

Abstract

The parasite Amallocystis capillosus has appeared on the shrimp Pasiphaea pacifica. This is the first report of this group of parasites from the northeastern Pacific Ocean. The parasite causes a morphological modification of the rostrum of the host.
