Electrocardiographic Studies of Free-Swimming Sharks

Electrocardiograms were taken of young lemon sharks, Negaprion brevirostris, as they swam freely in a circular concrete pool. Electrodes attached to the fin and torso yielded negligible or minute deflections, but direct leads yielded satisfactory recordings.
