Bilateral Differences in the Human Occipital Electroencephalogram with Unilateral Photic Driving

Abstract

Differential activity was induced in the electroencephalograms of the occipital lobes by limiting intermittent photic stimulation to the right or left halves of the two retinas. The results indicate that the driving of one hemisphere also affects the opposite hemisphere and that the amount and pattern of the effect is determined by the hemisphere being directly stimulated.
