Diffusion Coefficients of Hydrocarbons in Water: Method for Measuring

A modification of the capillary-cell method of measuring diffusion coefficients has been applied in studying the diffusion of paraffin hydrocarbons in water. Measurements on ethane, propane, and normal butane indicate that diffusion coefficients can be obtained with a precision of 1 to 2 percent.
