New spectrometric techniques for the multidimensional counting of gamma rays permit the direct measurement of twelve radionuclides collected on air filters. Observed concentrations of Be7, Na22, Mn54, Co60, Y88, Zr95-Nb25, Ru166, Sb124, Sb125, Cs134, Cs137, and Ce144 during the past 2½ years help to explain the origin and fallout rates of the trace radionuclides in air.
