Relative Turgidity of Leaves: Temperature Effects in Measurement

The technique generally used for measuring relative turgidity may lead to large errors. This error arises when there is a difference between the in situ leaf temperature and the arbitrary constant temperature used in the determination of uptake. Similar errors may occur in methods for measuring leaf water potential.
