Pineal Gland: Influence on Development of Copulation in Male Rats

Abstract

Male rats reared in constant darkness, pinealectomized 3 days after birth, and tested for copulation starting at 24 days of age, mounted receptive females more frequently and showed pelvic thrusting at an earlier age than littermate controls.
