Spectral Analysis of Variations in Force during a Bar-Pressing Time Discrimination

Abstract

The ability of rats to perform correctly a bar-pressing response that meets a specific duration criterion is related through spectral analysis to systematic variations in response force. It is suggested that these oscillations are representative of sensory feedback which aids in making the required temporal discrimination.
