Summary
In experiments reported in this issue (p. p. 1197), a new AIDS drug called PMPA protected monkeys from being infected by SIV, the simian counterpart of the AIDS virus. Preliminary results presented at a meeting last week also indicate that the drug slows the onset of symptoms when it is given after SIV infection is established
