Summary

Moscow—A research vessel has been impounded by a German shipyard awaiting payment of repair bills. The Russian finance ministry came through with a payment just before the ship was to be put on the auction block, but the delay may force a temporary shutdown of Russia's Vostok station near the South Pole.
