Making Nice With the Nobelists

A visit to Washington by this year's crop of U.S. Nobelists brought together two atmospheric chemists who worked on ozone depletion and a vocal critic of policies based on their findings—the chair of the House science panel that oversees environmental research. He promised to keep an open mind, but the next day he returned to the attack, criticizing studies of global warming.
