Summary

The scientific infrastructure in the behavioral and social sciences is not keeping up with public demands. The challenges for the sciences and the funders include making more efficient use of current data and improving longitudinal and international analyses. The sciences need continuity of funding, the setting of priorities in the funding, and rigorous training of the next generation of researchers.
