Science Funding: NSF Worries About Its Federal Partners

Summary

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has worked hard in recent years to supplement its $3 billion budget by building ties with several federal agencies. But in an era of tight budgets, NSF is worried that many of its partners will break those cooperative ties as they fight to save programs more closely related to their own missions.
