NAE Strives to Re-Engineer Itself

The new leaders of the National Academy of Engineering are struggling with problems that predate the stormy 1-year reign of its former president, Harold Liebowitz, who was ousted last month. One set of issues involves how NAE runs itself; the other relates to its strained relationship to its older spouse, the National Academy of Sciences. No easy solutions are in sight.
