Summary

By mating two genetically engineered strains of mice, a Japanese research team reports in this issue ((p.995) that it may have produced a mouse model for pregnancy-induced hypertension, a serious condition that develops late in pregnancy and threatens the life of both the mother and the child she is carrying.
