Summary

Over almost 20 years, a series of studies has turned up hints that electromagnetic fields from power lines and household wiring could cause everything from leukemia to breast cancer to brain cancer. Most of these claims have crumbled, but a weak positive association between childhood leukemia and household fields refused to go away. Now a $5 million, 5-year investigation has delivered a clear verdict, finding no link between high household fields and childhood leukemia.
