Summary

As NASA prepares for next month's scheduled launch of the $3.3 billion Cassini mission to Saturn, a technical glitch and a growing outcry from antinuclear protesters are a telling reminder of the complexity of large and complex spacecraft and the unwanted attention they can attract.
