Summary

While climate experts try to get a better fix on the carbon cycle, some engineers are taking what they view as the obvious next step: devising schemes for funneling excess COinto the deep ocean, unminable coal seams, abandoned oil fields, and isolated aquifers. One idea now leading the pack is to pipe COwaste from power plants to the bottom of the sea.
