BEIJING, CHINA-- While plant breeders in most of the world fear that grain yields are plateauing (see main text), a Chinese plant breeder says he is on the verge of creating a superhigh-yield rice hybrid that promises jumps of 15% to 20% in potential yields over existing hybrids.
