Summary

At the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS, which publishes Science) held on 21 to 26 January in Anaheim, California, toxicologists described a promising new line of fish that could be used for screening toxic chemicals. If the work pans out, the fish could make toxicology testing cheaper as well as less politically sensitive than it is in rats or mice.
