Summary

In the 15 July issue of Geophysical Research Letters, climatologists propose that a tiny change in the angle of Earth's orbital axis triggered a cascade of events that turned an ancient Eden into the Sahara desert. It is the first time anyone has demonstrated that a change in Earth's tilt can cause such a sudden vegetative feedback.
