VIENNA-- At the University of Vienna's Experimental Physics Institute, a form of teleportation has become reality. The teleporter of Vienna is Anton Zeilinger, a pioneer in exploiting the peculiarities of quantum mechanics--the best explanation physicists have for the weird actions of individual atoms--to teleport the quantum state of photons over short distances.
