To uncover the machinery behind galaxy-spanning quasars, astrophysicists are scrutinizing their recently discovered miniature counterparts--only to find that these so-called microquasars pose puzzles of their own. Do they really hold the key that will unlock the mysteries of jet formation in quasars? Or are the apparent similarities just a coincidence?
