GSK3 is a multifaceted kinase that is associated with both the insulin and Wnt signaling pathways in the cell. The question is: How does the cell prevent crosstalk between these two pathways if GSK3 is a key player in both of them? In their Perspective, discussing work published elsewhere, Weston and Davis explain the molecular steps that enable the two pathways to differentially regulate the substrates that are controlled (through phosphorylation) by GSK3.
