Summary

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology announced its neuroscience initiative last year with a bang: a cascade of media events and press packets filled with glowing profiles of the donors. Longtime neighbor and rival Harvard University is taking a different approach. Harvard has quietly committed $50 million and created 15 new positions to boost its standing in neuroscience.
