Summary

Cosmology was of crucial importance to ancient peoples, and in many traditional societies, no value was higher than maintaining harmony between the way the universe is and the way human beings behave. This synergy was lost as new scientific discoveries and theories were made and a schism developed between religion and science. However, according to Abrams and Primack, we are now at a point where scientific understanding can help provide a framework in which to understand the future of our civilization.
