Summary

On page 1929, a cadre of researchers reports having imaged--in real time--single adeno-associated virus particles entering cells and moving into the nucleus. The closeup view was provided by a technique called single-molecule fluorescence spectroscopy, which may open up gene therapy and antiviral research to highly detailed, blow-by-blow analysis.
