Summary

HAIFA AND JERUSALEM-- Fewer than half a dozen human embryonic stem cell lines so far have been distributed to scientists outside the labs where they were derived. That has hampered efforts to explore one of the field's burning questions: whether the cell lines, with their different pedigrees, act differently in culture.
