Summary

OUAGADOUGOU, BURKINA FASO-- Because of its location between rainforest and dry sahel, Burkina Faso has perhaps one of the heaviest mosquito burdens in Africa. Armed with microscopes, tweezers, and modified Shop-Vac wet-dry vacuums, researchers here are hunting malaria mosquitoes in an effort to learn what makes them dangerous--and vulnerable.
