Summary

Biggest of its breed, the new Large Zenith Telescope harnesses simple physics to probe space at a fraction of the cost of conventional models. This revolutionary 6-meter telescope with a surface of liquid mercury is about to peer into the heavens for the first time, yet hardly anyone knows of its existence.
