Summary

The government of Canada's largest province has announced plans to spend $680 million over the next decade to create the Cancer Research Institute of Ontario. The institute, which is expected to eventually employ hundreds of scientists, is seen as a way to strengthen Ontario's place in biomedical research as well as address an important health problem.
