Summary

Researchers at Howard University in Washington, D.C., want to build the first large DNA and health database on people of African descent. The project, announced last week, aims to collect DNA samples from 25,000 volunteers over 5 years and use the data to probe how genetics and lifestyle factors contribute to common diseases.
