BATH, U.K.-- The tularemia bacterium sickened thousands during World War II and was stockpiled by the superpowers. Now researchers, nearly 200 of whom attended the fourth International Conference on Tularemia here from 15 to 18 September, are racing to comprehend this potential bioterror threat.
