SEIYUN, YEMEN-- Earlier this month, a contingent of scientists from Europe, the United States, and elsewhere came here to brainstorm how to boost the prospects for science throughout the Islamic world. With massive cash infusions from the West unlikely, scientists in the region must convince their own leaders of the value of science to society.
