HOUSTON, TEXAS-- More than 1000 researchers gathered here near NASA's Johnson Space Center from 15 to 19 March to consider all the solid bodies of the solar system, both rocky and icy. Two of the three rocks in Gusev Crater that the Spirit rover has studied are covered by a rind of altered material, according to one presentation.
