Summary

DENVER, COLORADO-- APS's April meeting (held here 30 April to 4 May) brought together 1000 researchers in nuclear and high-energy physics, astrophysics, and related fields. A satellite with gamma ray eyes that watch solar flares erupt in extraordinary detail presented a new picture of flares that is leaving solar physicists sunstruck.
