Summary

COLD SPRING HARBOR, NEW YORK-- New approaches to genome studies are showing that DNA is full of surprises, researchers learned here 12 to 16 May at the Biology of Genomes meeting. Geneticists reported new research suggesting that the non-protein-coding DNA that constitutes the bulk of the human genome may in fact be "junk" after all.
