Summary

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA-- More than 10,000 chemists, physicists, and materials scientists gathered here from 22 to 26 August for the 228th national American Chemical Society meeting. Snapshots from the meeting include a dendrimer that can split water molecules to make hydrogen gas, new compounds for treating heart failure, and cheap fibers that can clean up drinking water.
