Summary

DAVIS, CALIFORNIA-- From 13 to 16 September, researchers from many disciplines discussed sports from curling to skydiving, from table tennis to boxing, at the 5th International Conference on Engineering of Sport. A new analysis suggests that the big, light volleyball regularly enters a curious state in which one half experiences much greater aerodynamic drag than the other does.
