Summary

BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS-- Chemists, physicists, and materials scientists met here from 29 November through 3 December to talk about progress on everything from improved solar cells to engineering proteins. Researchers have gotten ribosomes, the cell's protein factories, to decorate proteins with inorganic gold nanoparticles, which could open the door to novel ways to image proteins.
