Summary

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA-- From 4 to 8 January, agile roaches, swimming robots, and digging reptiles demonstrated the synergy between robotics and biology. Two studies combining math, engineering, neurobiology, and biomechanics have begun to tease out the secret of the cockroach's success: conservative use of brainpower.
