Summary

Penicillin and its family of-lactam antibiotics are some of the most widely used and successful pharmaceuticals ever discovered. Heroes of the last century, the-lactam antibiotics are about to be reinvented as neurotherapeutics for treating neurological disease, as Miller and Cleveland explain in their Perspective.
