Summary

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS-- At a student-run meeting on evolution and development held here from 20 to 23 October, researchers built a strong case that, for species of tropical plants called spiral gingers, rapid evolution occurred as slight genetic changes altered the plants' ability to attract various bee species and, more important, hummingbirds.
