TOKYO-- Two leading Japanese universities have fired scientists because of questionable publications, and a researcher is reported to have resigned from a third university over alleged mishandling of research funds. Researchers say the unprecedented actions suggest that Japanese institutions are now taking a tougher line on scientific integrity. (Read more.)
