Summary

At the Materials Research Society Fall Meeting, chemists reported making inexpensive, easy-to-manufacture microfluidic chips that can detect and quantify levels of a dozen different proteins in just a single drop of blood simultaneously, potentially lowering lab costs to just pennies per test.
