Summary

Snapshots from the German Physical Society meeting include a method for laying down nanotubes onto a microchip to create minuscule electrical and mechanical devices, the surprising discovery that the influenza virus lacks the hard protein shell of most viruses, and an analysis showing that as many German university students ended up in their desired program before reforms were made in the system as after.
