In science news around the world this week, the effects of the Yellowstone River oil spill on wildlife could have been worse, Japan's government will fund Fukushima health studies, India has loosened its policy on sharing remote-sensing imagery, and a congressional spending panel with jurisdiction over several research agencies has cut sharply into what President Barack Obama has requested for those programs next year.
