Summary

On 14 October, Arash and Kamiar Alaei came to Washington, D.C., and spoke with Science about the 3 years they spent in jail after being convicted of conspiring with U.S. agents to overthrow the government of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, their health advocacy in prison, and their plans. They say they would prefer to return to Iran but that it's more likely they will need to carry on their public health activities elsewhere.
