Summary

Last month, the world lost a technological leader, widely hailed for forging a new age of personal computers and digital products, forever changing the economic and social landscape of our time. A master of new media and new technology, the career of Apple cofounder and computer visionary Steve Jobs was closely followed around the world. Eventually, after several years of serious illness in the public eye, mortality called. His death occasioned an overflow of public grief and deep sadness tinged with sincere affection. Clearly, an era has passed.
